Software is your choice. We work with whichever payroll platform best suits your business, and if you are not on one yet, we recommend the right fit based on team size, pay structure and how you like to work.
Our team is trained across the platforms most UK businesses run their payroll on. Each comes with its own quirks; we know them.
QuickBooks Payroll
Strong for small businesses already on QuickBooks Online, with neat integration to bookkeeping. We run client payrolls on QuickBooks across hospitality, retail and professional services.
Xero Payroll
Clean interface, strong pension integration with NEST and The People's Pension, well-suited to mid-sized businesses already running Xero accounts. We run a meaningful share of our SME payrolls on Xero.
BrightPay
Particularly strong for CIS schemes and for businesses with mixed PAYE and CIS workforces. Our preferred platform for construction contractors.
Sage Payroll
The long-established UK payroll platform, well-suited to larger employee bases and complex statutory pay scenarios. We run client payrolls on Sage where the client is already invested in the Sage ecosystem.
MoneySoft Payroll Manager
Compact, reliable, value-led. Strong for smaller employers wanting a robust desktop tool. We run client payrolls on MoneySoft particularly where the client values simplicity and predictability.
And other platforms on request.
NOT ON ANY OF THESE YET?
We will recommend the right fit.
If you are not on a payroll platform yet, we will recommend the right one for your size, your cycle frequency and how you like to work. Most of our first-time PAYE clients land on Xero, BrightPay or QuickBooks; most of our first-time CIS clients land on BrightPay. The recommendation is part of the onboarding conversation and there is no software cost added to our fee. You pay the platform directly, the way you would whichever bureau you used.
SWITCHING FROM A CURRENT PROVIDER
Migration is part of onboarding.
If you are switching from a current provider and you want to keep your existing software, we step right in. If you would rather migrate (your current provider's software is creaking, or you want to standardise across the group), we handle that as part of onboarding. No double-running and no missed cycles. The first full cycle is under our control inside thirty days either way.
WHAT THIS DOES NOT MEAN
Software is the tool, not the service.
A common misunderstanding: "we just need a Xero subscription, we don't need a bureau." Software gives you the platform; it does not give you the rhythm. Filing on time, applying the right tax codes, handling statutory pay, dealing with HMRC letters, running pension auto-enrolment correctly, knowing what to do with a coding notice that arrives mid-cycle, all of that is the bureau's job. We use the software you choose. We are not the software.
